JACKSONVILLE, Ill. – The Illinois College women's soccer team dropped a 2-1 decision to Webster in a non-conference contest on Wednesday night inside England Stadium.

The Lady Blues are now 2-7-0, while Webster improved to 3-2-0

The Lady Blues opened the scoring when Katy Adler banged home a rebound 15:49 into the match.

Webster came back to even the contest with a goal at the 23:39 mark, and the teams remained deadlocked for the remainder of the half.

The teams remained tied throughout the early stages of the second half before the Gorlocks broke through with a goal at the 70:20 mark. The Lady Blues kept the pressure on but couldn't find the net.

IC out-shot Webster, 20-17, with Adler recording a match-high 10 shots. Holly Morehart added three while Aliza Rodriguez chipped in with two.

Stella Gonzalez went the distance in net for the Lady Blues and recorded four saves.
