HOLLAND, Mich. – Hope scored an early goal in the match and then held off the Illinois College men's soccer team, 3-0, in a non-conference match on Friday at Van Andel Soccer Stadium.
The loss drops IC to 2-2-1 on the season. Hope remains undefeated, improving to 4-0-0.

The Flying Dutch jumped out to an early lead when they found the net 5:40 into the match. That advantage would hold up for the remainder of the period and Hope took a 1-0 lead into the break.
Hope added an important insurance goal at 61:44 to make it 2-0 and closed out the scoring with a final tally in the 86th minute
The Blueboys' offensive attack was paced by
Jives Efemini and
Kristofer Ruiz, who recorded three shots each and accounted for six of the team's nine attempts.
IC's
TJ Esseily collected six saves in goal.
