MONMOUTH, Ill. – The Illinois College women's golf team closed out its 2025–26 season with a third-place finish at the Fighting Scot Spring Invite, hosted by Monmouth College at Gibson Woods Golf Course.
After opening the tournament with a 404 on day one, the Lady Blues shaved six strokes off their team score in Sunday's final round, posting a 398 to finish with a two-day total of 802.
Mackenzie Murphy led the charge in the final round with an 88, helping her secure a seventh-place individual finish for the tournament. Emily Guest, who paced Illinois College on day one with an 87, added a 99 in round two to finish tied for ninth overall.
Kate Phillips improved from her opening round, carding a 105 on day two, while Kaedyn Locke made a significant jump with a final-round 106 to round out the team scoring.

This marks the end of the 2025–26 season for the Lady Blues, who capped the year with a fourth-place finish at the SLIAC Championships and a victory at the Country Club Classic.
