Karley Call Named MWC Defensive Player of the Week

GRINNELL, Iowa – Illinois College's Karley Call has been named the Midwest Conference Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced today.

Call, a freshman from Collinsville, Ill., anchored a defense that helped IC win its first two MWC contests of the season last week, both in shutout fashion, while allowing only 6 shots on the week (Monmouth managed four and Cornell two).

The Lady Blues will play their final home contest of the 2026 season on Saturday when they host Grinnell in a Midwest Conference match inside England Stadium. Kickoff is at 1:30 p.m.
