LAKE FOREST, Ill. – Lake Forest used a late second-half run to slip past the Illinois College men's basketball team, 76-71, in a Midwest Conference contest on Wednesday at the Sports and Recreation Center.
IC is now 5-9 overall and 2-3 in conference play. The Foresters moved to 8-5 and 3-1.

The Blueboys came out strong, holding a lead for the majority of the first 10 minutes of the opening half. IC enjoyed its largest lead of the night at 25-16 at the 10-minute mark before the Foresters put together a 14-4 run over the next 7:17 to take a 30-29 advantage. The lead went back-and-forth for the remainder of the period before Lake Forest led 34-33 at halftime.
The early stages of the second half saw IC jump out to a four-point lead, but the Foresters jumped back ahead with 11:46 to play and would not trail again in the contest. Lake Forest led by as much as nine before the Blueboys rallied and cut the deficit to five, but that is as close as they would get.
IC was led by
Ty Lenhardt, who had 20 points.
Seth Doss added 18 points and six rebounds, while
DeShawn Nolan contributed 12 points and dished out a team-best six rebounds.
Austin Robinson pulled down a team-high nine rebounds for the Blueboys.
