GALESBURG, Ill. – The Illinois College men's basketball team erased a six-point halftime deficit and posted a 61-58 victory over Knox in a Midwest Conference game on Tuesday at Memorial Gymnasium.
The Blueboys, who have now won five straight, moved to 10-9 overall and 7-3 in conference play. The Prairie Fire fell to 7-12, including a 3-8 mark in league action.

The Blueboys built up a six-point lead in the early stages of the opening half and led by as much as seven at 13-6 seven minutes into the contest. Knox was able to claw back and move in front 18-16 with 7:52 to play. The Prairie Fire would hold an advantage until IC rallied to take the lead (23-22) with 3:30 left before Knox ended the half on a 7-0 run to take a 29-23 lead into halftime.
IC stormed out of the gate in the second half, opening the period with an 11-3 run to take a 34-32 lead four minutes in. That lead grew to as much as 12. The Prairie Fire would cut IC's advantage to two with 7:10 to play, but IC then held off a late charge by Knox to earn the victory.
The Blueboys had a pair of players record double-doubles.
Andrew Thomas had 16 points and 11 rebounds while
Seth Doss had 15 points and 10 boards.
Ty Lenhardt led IC in scoring with 18 points.
Blue Notes
This five-game winning streak is the longest for IC since they opened the 2024-25 campaign with five straight wins… this is IC's first five-game conference winning streak since the 2023-24 season.
