BELOIT, Wis. – The Illinois College men's basketball team pushed its conference record to over .500 with a 61-51 win over Beloit in a Midwest Conference game on Saturday at Flood Arena.
The Blueboys improved to 7-9 overall and 4-3 in conference play. The Buccaneers dropped to 5-11 and 0-7.

The Blueboys took an 11-9 lead at the 11:35 mark of the opening half and never trailed again. IC's first-half lead grew to as much as 12 at 31-19 at the 1:45 mark, and the Blueboys took a 34-25 advantage into halftime.
Beloit opened the second period with a 7-0 run to get within 34-32, but then IC answered and pushed the lead back to 10 at 49-39. The Buccaneers made one last run to get within 52-49 with 5:09 to play, but the Blueboys closed out the contest on a 9-2 run to post their second consecutive victory and first road win of the year.
Ty Lenhardt continued his stellar play in conference action, leading IC with 17 points.
Jayden McCoo contributed 13 points for the victors while
Andrew Thomas added 12 points to go with his six rebounds.
The Blueboys also got a career-high 11 rebounds from
Brady Clark off the bench, while
Seth Doss also had nine boards.
