MT. VERNON, Iowa – The Illinois College men's basketball team posted its third straight victory with a 77-61 win over Cornell in a Midwest Conference game on Wednesday at the Small Athletic and Wellness Center.
The Blueboys improved to 8-9 overall and 5-3 in conference play. The Rams fell to 2-14 and 1-6.

The early portion of the contest was a back-and-forth affair as the teams traded the lead for the first 12 minutes before the Blueboys uncorked a 12-2 run over a 3:58 span to lead 28-17 with just over five minutes remaining in the half.
IC continued to push the pace and grew to the lead to as much as 10 (40-30) with 1:10 remaining, and then went into halftime with a 40-32 lead.
The second half was all Blueboys as they never trailed and pushed the lead to as much as 18 at 77-59 with just under a minute left in the contest before closing out the victory.
Ty Lenhardt led four IC players in double figures with a game-high 19 points.
Isayah Kloster posted 18 points (going 9-for-10 from the field) along with grabbing six rebounds.
DeShawn Nolan added 15 points and tied with
Andrew Thomas for team high honors with nine rebounds.
Brady Clark also chipped in with 10 points.
