LAKE FOREST, Ill. – Lake Forest scored a run in the bottom of the seventh inning to post a 4-3 win over Illinois College in the championship round of the Midwest Conference Tournament on Friday at Mohr Field.
IC moved to 25-17 while Lake Forest is 27-14-1.

The Lady Blues opened the scoring in the third inning when
Taylor Henry stroked an RBI single to score
Raegan Rezba.
After Lake Forest tied the contest in its half of the third, IC roared back with two of its own in the fourth inning.
Delaney Melton scored on a Forester error after a single from
Shelby Seiler, and
Ezzy Mauermann scored Seiler on a ground out.
Lake Forest plated single runs in the fifth and seventh innings to take the victory and move to the final day with a 2-0 record.
Brooke Loveall led IC with three hits in the game.
Jordan Closs suffered her first loss in nine starts, surrendering four runs (three earned) on three hits with eight strikeouts.

IC has now won 12 of its last 14 contests… Closs's scoreless innings streak was snapped at 55 2/3, which ranks eighth all-time in NCAA Division III and the longest since 2011.
