NORMAL, Ill.- The Blueboys traveled to Normal for the two-day tournament hosted by Illinois Wesleyan at Weibring Golf Course and Ironwood Golf Course. IC finished the tournament tied for 12th with Knox College out of 38 teams in the field.
The Blueboys finished above Nationally ranked teams such as Gustavus Adolphus (31st), Bethel (26th), and Nebraska Wesleyan (36th).
Round 1: 299 (+15) Weibring Golf Course
Myles Kampwerth led the Blueboys with a opening round of even par 71 highlighted by four birdies and four bogeys.
Jarrett James remained solid for IC with a +1 round of 72.
Caden Tinsley (77) and
Tobin Nell (79) rounded out the scoring for IC for round 1 to put themselves in the middle of the pack after the opening round.
Round 2: 305 (+17) Ironwood Golf Course
Jarrett James posted the low round for IC after shooting 75 (+3), and
Myles Kampwerth shot 76 to finish tied for 18th on the tournament with James.
Tobin Nell and
Teddy Walbaum both shot 77 for IC to finish the tournament with a 12th place finish.
