JACKSONVILLE, Ill. – The Illinois College baseball team dropped the third and final game of the Midwest Conference weekend series with Grinnell, falling 30-15 on Sunday at Joe Brooks Field.
The Blueboys are now 13-9 overall and 3-2 in Midwest Conference play. The Pioneers moved to 11-7 and 2-1.

IC jumped out to a 7-1 lead after the first three innings of play, thanks to a six-run third, which was keyed by a
Connor Hennemann home run and a
Logan Fleener double.Â
Grinnell then regrouped and posted 29 runs over the final six frames to take the game and the series, 2-1.
Adam Passmore led the IC offense with four hits and three runs scored.
Nolan Decker collected the hits and scored twice, while Fleener drove in a team-high four runs.
Along with Hennemann's blast, the Blueboys got home runs from
Tyler Barker and
Logan Schweigert.

Connor Akstulewicz suffered the loss on the mound and dropped to 1-2 on the season.

The Blueboys will play their final non-conference games of the 2025 season on Wednesday when they host Principia at Joe Brooks Field. The first game of the doubleheader is scheduled to start at 1:00 p.m.
