JACKSONVILLE, Ill. – Grinnell scored 26 of the game's first 30 points and used that momentum to post a 92-68 win over the Illinois College men's basketball team in a Midwest Conference game on Saturday at Sherman Gymnasium.
The Blueboys are now 3-6 overall and 1-2 in conference action. Grinnell moved to 6-2 overall and 3-0 in MWC play.

The Pioneers jumped out of the gate quickly and were up 26-4 with 12:11 to play in the opening half. Grinnell's lead moved to as much as 25 before IC cut it to 17 at 45-28 with 1:19 to play in the opening half. The Blueboys trailed 48-28 at the break.
IC got within 17 again early in the second half, but the Pioneers were able to push back ahead to stay perfect in conference play.
Connor Brown led the Blueboys with 16 points and four steals, while
DeShawn Nolan added 15 and
Ty Lenhardt had 14.
Jaylen Swinney,
Nick Doroskin, and
Seth Doss each had five rebounds for IC.

IC is back in action next Saturday when Beloit comes to town for a Midwest Conference contest. Tip-off is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. inside Sherman Gymnasium.
