ROCKFORD, Ill. – The Illinois College women's basketball team raced out to a 33-9 first-quarter lead and never looked back, posting a 90-40 victory over Rockford in a non-conference contest on Saturday at the Seaver Center.
IC evened its record at 3-3 on the season, while Rockford fell to 0-4

The outcome of this one was decided early as the Lady Blues scored the first 13 points of the game and cruised from there, running out to a 33-9 lead after one quarter.
IC's lead continued to grow in the second period, and the 38-point advantage the Lady Blues enjoyed at halftime was the largest of the first half.
The third quarter was much of the same as the first half, and IC continued to push the advantage, and the 49-point (77-28) lead at the end of the third period was the Lady Blues' biggest of the day. IC cruised home in the fourth quarter as all 24 players who dressed for the contest saw at least three minutes of action, and 14 different IC players scored.
Danielle Beach led IC with 17 points after going 5-for-8 from 3pt. range.
McKenna Christiansen was the only other Lady Blue in double figures with 11 points.
Jayln Patterson had six rebounds, and
Raegen Stringer dished out seven assists.
