JACKSONVILLE, Ill. – Elmhurst's Dominic Trelenberg sank a 3-pointer at the buzzer to give the Bluejays a 73-72 win over the Illinois College men's basketball team in a non-conference contest on Saturday at Sherman Gymnasium.
The Blueboys fell to 2-4 overall, while Elmhurst remained perfect at 4-0.

The early portion of the contest was controlled by the Bluejays, who jumped out to a seven-point lead with 10:18 to play in the first half. Elmhurst had a five-point lead at 27-22 with 3:23 remaining before IC clawed back into the contest with a 6-0 run and took a 28- 27 lead with 33 seconds left. The Bluejays hit a pair of free throws in the waning seconds and took a 29-28 advantage into halftime.
After Elmhurst raced out to a five-point lead early in the second half, the contest remained tight for the duration. The Blueboys roared back to lead by as much as six (59-53 with 7:40 left. The game was tied at 65 with 3:22 to play. After a free throw by
Ty Lenhardt, IC led until Trelenberg's three-pointer at the final buzzer.
Lenhardt led IC with 22 points, including a 10-for-10 showing from the free throw line.
Andrew Thomas added 16 points while
Connor Brown chipped in with 11 points and three assists.
Isayah Kloster grabbed a game-high nine rebounds.
