BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The 21st-ranked Maryville men's basketball team held off Illinois College, 69-65, in the consolation round of the Jack Sikma Hall of Fame Invitational on Saturday at the Shirk Center
The Blueboys are now 2-2, while Maryville moved to 4-1.

IC jumped ahead at the 17:10 mark of the first half and held the lead for the majority of the period, with the biggest advantage coming at six points (25-19 at the 9:22 mark) and 27-21 (at the 6:48 mark). Maryville was able to rally for a 40-39 halftime lead.
The Scots held the lead in the second half until IC took a 56-55 lead with 6:43 to play. After a Maryville basket, IC scored again to take the lead with 4:50 remaining. The lead changed hands once more with IC enjoying a 61-59 advantage with 3:50 left, but that was IC's last lead of the afternoon.
Seth Doss led the Blueboys with a double-double, scoring 15 points and grabbing 13 rebounds.
Isayah Kloster added 14 points and six boards.
DeShawn Nolan had 11 points, and
Ty Lenhardt chipped in with 10 points.

IC has won 67 of its past 82 (67-15) games… this weekend's tournament was played at the alma mater of IC Head Coach
