LAKE FOREST, Ill. – The Illinois College men's soccer team spotted Lake Forest a four-goal lead and then made a furious comeback that came up one goal short, falling 4-3 on Saturday at Farwell Field.
IC 6-3-2 overall and 1-2-0 in conference play. Lake Forest remained unbeaten and moved to 11-0-0 and 2-0-0.

The Foresters raced out to a 2-0 first-period lead with goals in the 27th and 31st minutes. They would take that advantage into halftime.
Lake Forest pushed the lead to 4-0 with tallies in the 60th and 62nd minutes before the Blueboys roared back.
IC's
Carter Uhlmann put the Blueboys on the board when he scored on a penalty kick at the 64:06 mark.
Daniel Garcia then cut the deficit to 4-2 when he found the net at 80:13.
The Blueboys were able to cut the lead to one when
Jason Hernandez scored with under 30 seconds remaining, and that would be as close as IC would get.
IC outshot the Foresters, 10-6 on the day, and were led by
Trevor Fallico,
J'aiden Cranwell-Meneses, and Hernandez, who all had a pair of shots.
TJ Esseily posted a save in the net for the Blueboys.
Blue Notes
IC is 5-2-1 in its last eight matches. Over the past three seasons, the Blueboys are now 13-4-2 in Midwest Conference action.
