JACKSONVILLE, Ill. – The Illinois College volleyball team kept its unbeaten Midwest Conference streak alive with a 3–1 win over Lake Forest College on Senior Day inside Sherman Gymnasium.
The Lady Blues dropped the opening set 25–22 before rallying to take the next three, 25–17, 25–22, and 25–20, improving to 8–14 overall and 3–0 in conference play.
Haylie Orton led the way for the Lady Blues with 12 kills while hitting .391 and adding two service aces and two solo blocks for a match-high 16 points. Laura Kaiser was strong at the net with 10 kills and four total blocks, while Riley Drake tallied nine kills and 12 digs.
Summer Brandis and Kahli O'Neal guided the offense with 18 and 20 assists, respectively. Brandis also added three digs and an ace, while O'Neal contributed 10 digs. Mady Salisbury anchored the back row with 12 digs and two aces, and Reagan Oster chipped in four aces and eight digs.
Illinois College hit .193 as a team and finished with 11 service aces and nine total blocks while holding Lake Forest to a .109 hitting percentage.
