APPLETON/RIPON, Wis. – The Illinois College women's tennis squad swept a pair of Midwest Conference duals on Saturday.
IC opened the day by beating Lawrence, 5-2, and then came back in the afternoon to post a 7-0 shutout of Ripon.
The Lady Blues are now 11-7 overall and 3-3 in Midwest Conference action.

The Vikings opened the dual by taking two of the three doubles matches and a 1-0 lead. IC's victory came from
Sabrina Ingram and
Sophi Barrow at No. 3 by a score of 6-4.
In singles play, the Lady Blues won five of the six contests to win the match. IC got victories from
Clara Bach at No. 2,
Sophie Muir at No. 3,
Lily Ingram at No. 4,
Morgan Keefe at No. 5, and
Sabrina Ingram at No. 6. Bach and both Ingrams were victorious in straight sets.

The Lady Blues came back in the afternoon to post the shutout in the regular season finale.Â
A doubles point for IC opened the match. The Lady Blues got wins from
Alyssa Wise and Bach at No. 1, Muir and
Lily Ingram at No. 2, and Barrow and
Sabrina Ingram at No. 3.
Wise got a three-set victory at No. 1 while Bach (No. 2), Muir (No. 3),
Lily Ingram (No. 4), Keefe (No. 5), and
Sabrina Ingram (No. 6) were all straight-set winners.
Blue Notes
The wins should secure IC's spot in the Midwest Conference Team Tournament, which will take place this spring. The league will announce the qualifiers in the coming days.
