MONMOUTH, Ill. – Monmouth remained unbeaten in the Midwest Conference by handing the Illinois College football team a 48-15 defeat on Saturday at April Zorn Memorial Stadium.
IC is now 3-2 overall and 2-2 in Midwest Conference action. Monmouth moved to 4-1 and a perfect 4-0 in league play.

The Blueboys jumped out to a quick lead when
Toby McTamney drilled a 38-yard field goal to open the scoring. IC's next two scores were both McTamney field goals, the first coming from 24 yards out and the third from 23 yards to open the third quarter scoring.
IC got its first touchdown of the day when
Tyson Elliott found
Cole Stuart from five yards out to cut the Fighting Scots' lead to 20-15, but that would be as close as the Blueboys would get as Monmouth scored 21 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to put the game away.
Elliott finished the day going 18-for-33 for 191 yards and a score.
Kyle Leonard caught seven balls for 111 yards while Stuart added four catches for 37 yards.
Tanner Spencer led the ground attack with 43 yards on seven carries while
Lleyton Miller added 35 yards on nine trips.
The defense was led by
Jaylen Johnson,
Drake Stuart, and
Josh Hodge, who all had seven tackles on the day.
