GALESBURG, ILL- The Illinois College women's basketball team dropped a tough conference game Tuesday night at Knox College, 84-69. Despite some impressive offensive efforts for several Lady Blues, Knox moved to 8-6 overall for the season and 3-2 in conference play. IC moves to 5-11 and 2-5 in conference play.

The first half of play saw seven lead changes as both teams went into the half 42-42. The Lady Blues shot 60% in the second quarter to keep it square, but Knox continued a strong 2
nd quarter with a dominant 3
rd quarter that ended up being the difference in the contest.
Knox shot 68% from the field in the 3
rd quarter to take a nine-point lead heading into the 4
th quarter where they held IC to just nine made field goals in the 2
nd half.
The Lady Blues showcased strong offensive performances, highlighted by
Jayln Patterson's career-high 27 points on 13-21 shooting.
Ashlyn Wightman recorded another impressive double-double with 14 points, 12 rebounds, and a career-high-tying six blocks, while
Raegen Stringer contributed a career-high 12 assists for Illinois College.

Ashlyn Wightman now sits just 11 points shy of joining the Illinois College 1,000-point club.
