JACKSONVILLE, ILL- Ashlyn Wightman scored 18 points for the Lady Blues in route to their 74-55 win over Lake Forest, on Saturday in Sherman Gymnasium.
This win moves the Lady Blues to 6-11 overall and 3-5 in conference play, while the Foresters fall to 2-13 overall and 1-6 in conference play.

The Lady Blues went on an 11-0 run at the end of the first half and start of the 3
rd quarter to capture a ten-point lead and never trailed again in the contest. IC held the Foresters to just 29% from the field in the contest and shot 42% themselves from the field.
Ashlyn Wightman once again finished with a double-double, totaling 18 points and 10 rebounds.
Jayln Patterson remained hot offensively for the Lady Blues scoring 22 points and grabbed nine rebounds on top of it.
Raegen Stringer dished out six assists for IC.

Ashlyn Wightman has become the 15th Lady Blue to surpass 1,000 career points, marking the first player to reach this milestone since 2019. She continues to make her mark in the record books, ranking 5th all-time in rebounds, 1st in both total blocks and blocks per game, and 9th all-time in rebounds per game.

The Lady Blues head into their bye week following this victory and will return to action on Alumni Day, Saturday, January 25th. They will face Beloit at 1:00 PM in Sherman Gymnasium.
