JACKSONVILLE, Ill. – The Illinois College women's tennis squad posted a pair of Midwest Conference dual match victories on Saturday at the Bellatti Tennis Complex.
The Lady Blues opened the day with a 6-1 win over Ripon and followed that with a 5-2 triumph over Lawrence.
With the victories, IC improved to 10-4 overall and 2-2 in conference action.

The Lady Blues opened the day by winning two of the three doubles matches to earn the opening point. IC got victories from
Alyssa Wise and
Sophie Muir (No. 1) and
Michelle Maag and
Lily Ingram (No. 2) to secure the point.
In singles play, the Lady Blues too five of the six matches, getting victories from Wise (No. 1), Muir, (No. 3),
Lily Ingram (No. 4),
Madison Eastin (No. 5), and
Sabrina Ingram (No. 6) to clinch the victory.

The afternoon match was all IC as well. The Lady Blues earned the doubles point just as they did in the morning match. Wise and Muir (No. 1) and Maag and
Lily Ingram (No. 2) recorded victories to earn the all-important first point of the match.
Lawrence won both the No. 1 and No. 2 singles matches, leaving the match up to the 3-6 slots and the IC foursome came through. Muir (No. 3),
Lily Ingram (No. 4),
Madison Eastin (No. 5), and
Sabrina Ingram all won in straight sets to give IC a sweep of the day.
