NASHVILLE, TENN- The Lady Blues dropped their first game in the Music City Classic against UWSP 67-49. IC drops to 2-9 and Stevens-Point moves to 9-1.

The Lady Blues led the game in field goal shooting, hitting 37.8%, while Stevens Point was limited to 31.3%. However, the decisive factor came at the free-throw line, where UWSP went 21-for-31 compared to IC's 10-for-21.
Stevens Point dominated the turnover battle, forcing 29 while committing just 13, and also out rebounded the Lady Blues 46-39. IC gave up 26 points off turnovers.
Jalyn Patterson stood out for IC with a double-double, scoring 15 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. She also recorded three blocks, while
Ashlyn Wightman contributed seven points and seven rebounds along with three blocks as well.

Wightman now has 930 career points in her journey to join the 1,000 career-point club at Illinois College.
