AURORA, Ill- The Lady Blues fell to Aurora University on Tuesday in their final non-conference game before conference play begins, 94-52. The loss drops IC to 2-5 on the season, while the Spartans improve to 5-1. Conference play is set to begin next week.
IC struggled offensively in the loss, shooting just 30.8% from the field and 29% from three-point range. Meanwhile, the Spartans were on fire from beyond the arc, hitting 50% of their three-point attempts, including 17 threes, to secure the victory.
Ashlyn Wightman led the charge for the Lady Blues with an impressive double-double, recording 15 points, 11 rebounds, and five blocks.
Anna McKee contributed 14 points, hitting 4-of-8 from three-point range, while
Jayln Patterson added eight points and secured nine rebounds.
