JACKSONVILLE, Ill- The Lady Blues dropped a non-conference game against Illinois Institute of Technology on Saturday 63-58 to move to 2-4 on the season. IIT picked up their first win of the season to move to 1-3.
The game was tied at 13-13 after the first quarter, but the Lady Blues endured a tough stretch, going 13 minutes and 52 seconds without a field goal. In the fourth quarter, they found themselves down by as many as 14 points.
Anna McKee hit some big threes for the Lady Blues leading the team with 15 points, but ultimately fell to IIT.
IC ended the game shooting 25.4% from the field and 18.2% from the three, while IIT shot 43.6% from the field. Both teams struggled from behind the arc going a combined 7-42.
Ashlyn Wightman ended with another double-double ending with 10 points and 12 rebounds.
Raegen Stringer ended with 13 points, eight rebounds, six steals, and four assists.
