MONMOUTH, Ill. – Greenville overcame a six-point halftime deficit to beat the Illinois College women's basketball team, 67-64, on Friday at Glennie Gymnasium.
The loss dropped IC to 2-2 on the season while Greenville improved to 1-3

The opening quarter was tightly contested, and IC enjoyed the largest lead of the quarter at 16-11 with 2:19 to play and held a 20-19 advantage at the end of the quarter. The second quarter was all Lady Blues as they outscored Greenville 11-6 and held a 31-25 lead at intermission.
IC upped its lead to 10 (38-28) with 6:26 to play in the third quarter but Greenville clawed back into the contest and ended the quarter trailing just 45-44.
Greenville opened the final period with a 10-2 run to take a 54-46 lead but the Lady Blues answered with a 9-0 run of their own to regain the lead at 55-54 with 5:21 to play. That would by IC's last lead of the game.
Anna McKee led IC with 19 points and
Ashlyn Wightman added a double-double with 18 points and 14 rebounds. She also had a team-high four blocks. The senior duo were the only Lady Blues in double figures.
