RIPON, Wis- The Illinois College women's volleyball were back in action on Saturday for another road conference matchup taking on Ripon College. The Lady Blues came out with a 3-0 win over Ripon to move to 2-0 in conference play.
This win moves IC to 10-10 overall on the season and drops Ripon to 7-11and 0-3 in conference play.
Final Results: IC 3 Ripon 0 (25-18, 25-19, 25-16)
A dominant victory for the Lady Blues as
Ligaya Garibay led with 13 kills in the match. After coming off a record setting 16 kills on 19 attempts in the match prior,
Laura Kaiser went back to work to record 9 kills on 15 attempts.
Riley Drake also got in the action and added 8 kills as well.
Summer Brandis once again led the Lady Blues in the assist category with 18 in the match, and
Kahli O'Neal added 13 assists as well.
Alex Johnson was flying all over the court and ended with 16 digs for IC and
Laura Kaiser ended with 2 solo blocks and 4 block assists.
IC held Ripon to a .068 hitting percentage for the match as the Lady Blues finished with a .243 hitting percentage.
