ELMHURST, Ill. – The Illinois College men's soccer team scored the first three goals of the match and cruised to a 3-1 win over Elmhurst in a non-conference match at Langhorst Field on Wednesday evening.
IC improved to 7-3-1 with the victory while Elmhurst dropped to 5-4-2.

The Blueboys jumped ahead nearly 30 minutes into the contest with a team goal. That 1-0 lead held up until halftime.
IC put the match away with a pair of goals in the second half.
Jason Hernandez scored at 56:19 while
Aidan Gowin iced the contest with a goal at the 64:39 mark. Elmhurst's lone score came on a penalty kick at the 70:05 mark.
TJ Esseily went the distance in goal for the Bluboys, recording eight saves.
IC was out-shot in the match, 16-11. The Blueboy attack was paced by Hernandez, Jives Efemini, and Sam Blair who had two shots each.Â

This was the final non-conference match of the season for IC… the Blueboys finished the non-conference portion of the schedule with a 6-3-1 record.
