APPLETON, Wis. – The 2024 edition of Illinois College men's soccer became the winningest team in program history with a 4-1 victory over Lawrence on Saturday at Ron Roberts Field at the Banta Bowl.
The victory improved IC to 11-3-1 overall and 5-0-0 in Midwest Conference play. Lawrence moved to 2-8-4, 1-2-2. The 11 wins are the most in any season in IC men's soccer history.

It didn't take long for IC to get on the board as
Tyler Schiltz found the net just 8:25 into the contest, a lead the Blueboys would never relinquish. IC's
Daniel Garcia took a feed from Schiltz at the 26:38 mark and buried his shot to give IC a 2-0 advantage that would carry into halftime.

Tyler Lunning added to the lead early in the second half when he scored at the 52:37 mark.
Aidan Gowin put the finishing touches on the scoring with a goal at 61:49.
The Vikings added a goal in the late stages of the contest for the final margin.
The Blueboys had a whopping 22-7 advantage in shots and were led by
Oscar Liogon Arenas who had four. Schiltz and Lunning each had three.
Daniel Happach, the conference's Defensive Performer of the Week, went the distance in net, recording three saves.

The Blueboys broke the single-season school record victory total of 10, previously held by four teams (2013, 2014, 2021, and 2023)… IC is unbeaten in its past eight Midwest Conference regular-season matches dating back to last season… the Blueboys are unbeaten in their past seven matches… the Blueboys are now 21-8-4 over the past two seasons.
