MONMOUTH, Ill. – The Illinois College men's soccer team remained at the top of the Midwest Conference standings by rolling past Monmouth, 4-0, on Tuesday at Peacock Memorial Athletic Park.
The victory improved IC to 10-3-1 overall and 4-0-0 in conference play. Monmouth moved to 2-8-2, 0-3-1.

This match was all IC from the outset. The Blueboys opened the scoring at the 26:29 mark of the opening half when
Reed Rogers scored on a penalty kick. IC's
Carver Taylor added the final goal of the period just under 20 minutes later and the Blueboys went into the intermission leading 2-0.
The second half was much of the same as the first.
Tyler Schiltz made it 3-0 when he scored at the 59:53 mark.
Eben Reed closed out the day's scoring at 68:43 when he found the net off a feed from
Thomas Menke.
IC out-shot the Fighting Scots, 14-7 (the Blueboys had eight shots on goal) with Schiltz, Rogers,
Toby Ybarra, and
Oscar Liogon Arenas each collecting two.
TJ Esseily pitched a shutout in goal for IC.

IC is unbeaten in its past seven Midwest Conference matches dating back to last season… the Blueboys are unbeaten in their past six matches.
