Illinois College announced the launch of the 2023-24 season of Varsity Club, an annual giving group that invites members to provide year-round support for athletic programs.
The first Varsity Club event will be held on Saturday, Sept. 2. Illinois College volleyball will host the Illinois College Invitational tournament that day with the Lady Blues facing Earlham College at 10 a.m. and Anderson University in a match that will begin approximately at 2 p.m. The Blueboy football team will open their season that evening against Millikin University at 6 p.m.
Varsity Club members are invited to enjoy free concessions on the concourse of Bruner Fitness and Recreation Center at 2 p.m. and a complimentary dinner will be provided by Twyford BBQ at 5:30 p.m.

Varsity Club members support athletic facility improvements, academic scholarships and equipment for the student-athletes who compete in the College's 22 men's and women's athletic programs.
Membership is based on annual giving at the following levels: Varsity ($50-124), Team Captain (:$125-249), All Conference ($250-499), All American ($500-999), National Champion ($1,000- 2,499), and Hall of Fame ($2,500+). Each level has increasing benefits including admission to all home athletic events; branded shirts, tumblers, and a car decal; a monthly athletics newsletter; all inclusive beer, wine and food during Homecoming weekend; discounts on IC merchandise, and more.
