GREENVILLE, Ill.- The Illinois College Lady Blues traveled to face Greenville University on Friday night. The team earned a split winning game one and falling short to the Panthers in game two. This puts the team at 22-11-1 overall.
GAME 1- Illinois College 7, Greenville University 0
The Lady Blues were led by their pitching staff with
Julia Drake and
Olivia Shimmin combining for the shutout. Drake would earn the win pitching 5.0 innings with 10 strikeouts.Â
Alison Mortland was the standout at the plate going three for four on the day with one runs scored and one RBI.Â
GAME 2- Illinois College 3, Greenville University 0
Cheyenne Anderson led the team in the second half of the doubleheader finishing the game going two for three at the plate.Â
Shimmin suffered the loss in the circle pitching 3.1 innings with two strikeouts.Â
The team hosts the Deb Kilby Memorial Game on Sunday, 4/30 against Grinnell College at 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM.
