JACKSONVILLE, Ill.- The Illinois College softball team hosted Cornell College in MWC action on Saturday. The team picked up two wins over the Rams to advance to 17-10-1 overall and 10-0 in the MWC.
The team took the time before the game to honor their seniors.

Taylor Becker,
Olivia Shimmin, and
Annie Schimpf were all recognized by their teammates and family members for their accomplishments and dedication to the IC softball program.
GAME 1- Illinois College 7, Cornell College 1
The Lady Blues were led by an incredible pitching performance from
Julia Drake earning the win by pitching 7.0 innings with nine strikeouts.
Cheyenne Anderson was the standout at the plate going two for three on the day with one run scored and one RBI.
GAME 2- Illinois College 10, Cornell College 2
Olivia Shimmin earned the win in the circle pitching 3.0 innings and allowing just one earned run.
Anderson was exceptional at the plate going a perfect four for four on the day with one run scored and one RBI.
Claudia Adam also was a standout finishing the game going two for three with two runs scored and one RBI.
The team will host Ripon College on Sunday, 4/23 at 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM.
