GALESBURG, Ill.- The Illinois College Lady Blues put their undefeated MWC record on the line traveling to face Knox College on Wednesday. The team came away with a sweep over the Prairie Fire to advance to 15-10-1 overall and 8-0 in the MWC.
GAME 1- Illinois College 5, Knox College 0
Julia Drake earned the shutout win with a strong performance in the circle pitching all 7.0 innings with 10 strikeouts.
Claudia Adam was the difference maker at the plate going two for two on the day with one run scored.
GAME 2- Illinois College 3, Knox College 0
The second game of the day continued to go in IC's favor.
Olivia Shimmin and
Terin Teeter combined for the shutout with Teeter earning the win pitching 4.2 innings with four strikeouts.
Allison Mortland was the standout at the plate going two for three on the night.
IC will host Cornell College this weekend in a doubleheader on Saturday, 4/22 at 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM.
