BLOOMINGTON, Ill.- The Illinois College baseball team traveled to face the Illinois Wesleyan University Titans on Tuesday night. IC came up just short falling to the Titans with a final score of 12-13.
Louie Bartletti had a standout day at the plate going three for five on the day with two runs scored and two RBI.
Jaydon Davis was also impressive going two for five at the plate with two runs scored and five RBI.
Jack McGuire got the start for IC pitching 3.0 innings with five strikeouts. The Blueboys stood ahead 12-4 after the top of the eighth inning. The Titans rallied back to tie the game at 12-12 going into the ninth. Illinois Wesleyan claimed the win with a walk-off single to survive the close game.
IC will host the Lawrence University Vikings in MWC action this weekend in a doubleheader on Saturday, 4/15 at 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM.
