GALESBURG, Ill.- The Illinois College Blueboys traveled to face Knox College on Tuesday night. The team picked up a win over the Prairie Fire with a final of 80-73. This improves the team to 22-2 overall and 14-1 in the MWC.
Tre Rogers led the team with 26 points on the night. Other double-figure scorers included
Jake Mazrimas with 17 points and
Buzz Ritzel with 12 points.
Nestor Daboin led the team with 13 rebounds.Â
The game remained close with the Blueboys holding a slim lead of 35-33 at the end of the first half. The game continued to be competitive with the score at 74-73 with 3:46 left in regulation.
A made three-pointer by Mazrimas with 1:23 left gave the Blueboys a commanding 79-73 lead. IC was able to hold off the Prairie Fire comeback to claim their fourth consecutive win.Â
The team will host Lawrence University for Senior Day on Saturday, 2/18 at 3:00 PM
