JACKSONVILLE, Ill. – The Illinois College women's basketball team dropped its home opener to Webster, 79-55, on Wednesday at Sherman Gymnasium.
The loss dropped the Lady Blues to 1-2 on the young season while the Gorlocks improved to a spotless 3-0.
IC got 12 points and four steals from
Kendra Bass while
Jayln Patterson added 10 points and eight rebounds.
Ashlyn Wightman also grabbed eight rebounds for the Lady Blues.
Webster employed its trademark full court press and forced Illinois College into 30 turnovers which resulted in 28 points for the Gorlocks.
The Lady Blues hit the road this weekend as they participate in the Greenville Tournament in Greenville, Ill. IC will open tournament play Friday against Westminster College at 6:00 p.m.
