JACKSONVILLE, Ill.- The Illinois College women's tennis team hosted Lawrence and Ripon in a MWC doubleheader on Saturday. The team earned a split in two close matches falling to Lawrence 4-5 and defeating Ripon 5-4.
IC was led by the doubles team of
Michelle Maag and
Lily Ingram picking up a win in No.1 doubles against Lawrence 8-5. Maag went on to win her No. 1 singles match 7-6, 6-3.
The team was able to repeat their performance picking up a win the No. 1 doubles against Ripon College with a final of 8-1. IC stood ahead 2-1 after doubles competition after the No. 3 doubles team of
Lydia Criveau and
Jasmine Dennis were able to earn a win 8-2. The team would claim their first conference win of the season over Ripon after winning in three of the six singles matches.
The team will travel to face Monmouth College on Friday, 9/30 at 4:00 PM.
