STORM LAKE, Iowa- The Blueboys men soccer team traveled to face Buena Vista on Saturday in hopes of keeping their winning streak alive. The team walked away with a 4-0 victory over the Beavers to advance to 6-1-1 overall this season.
Sam Blair connected with the net in the fifth minute to put IC ahead early.
Tyler Schiltz was able to follow up with a goal of his own to extend the Blueboys lead in the 26th minute.
Josh Platzbecker would add on another goal to make the score 3-0 heading into halftime.
Blair recorded his second goal of the game to seal the win for the team. IC relied on a strong defensive front out-shooting the Beavers 14-2 in the match.
Carlos Garcia represented the team in goal with one save on the night.
IC will host Simpson College on Tuesday, 9/20 at 5:00 PM.
