PEORIA, Ill.- The IC men's and women's cross country teams traveled to compete in the Bradley Intercollegiate Invite on Friday. The Blueboys finished fifth out of nine teams and the Lady Blues had four individuals compete.
The men's team was led by
Devin Boggs with a 33rd place finish with a time of 26:48.7.
Elgin Scherff placed 35th (26:58.8) and
Will Detmer placed 47th (27:47.8) to round out the top three finishers for IC. Boggs and Scherff are the first IC runners to break the 27-minute barrier in the 8K race in IC school history.Â
The women's team was led by
Kairy Mercado-Ramos finishing 37th with a time of 21:58.1.
Claire Peters followed with a time of 22:44.4.Â
Both teams will compete next on the road at Aurora Invite on Saturday, 10/1 at 11:00 AM.
