GRINNELL, Iowa- The Illinois College baseball team traveled to face Grinnell College today. The team suffered a loss to the Pioneers with a final of 2-4. This drops the team to 11-19 overall and 6-9 in the MWC.
Grinnell took the lead early scoring three runs in the first two innings. The Blueboys cut the deficit with a run scored by
Ryne Mapes in the top of the third.
IC would make an attempt at the comeback after a single by
Caleb Uselton brought in a run by
Peyton Abbott in the ninth. The team would come up short in the end falling with a final of 2-4.
Christian Stawar suffered the loss at the mound pitching 4.0 innings with two strikeouts.
IC will face Grinnell in a doubleheader tomorrow at 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM.
