JACKSONVILLE, Ill.- The IC Blueboys baseball team hosted University of Chicago on Friday in a single game. The team suffered a loss to drop to 8-17 overall and 3-7 in the MWC.

Chicago jumped to an early lead scoring four unanswered runs through the fourth inning. Marcinkowski answered back with a two run homer to make the score 2-4.
Cullen McBride would single in the sixth to bring in a run by Marcinkowski to decrease the deficit once again, but that would not be enough as Chicago would claim the win in the first game of the weekend series.
Griffin King suffered the loss at the mound pitching 3.0 innings with three strikeouts.
The Blueboys will host the Maroons tomorrow in a doubleheader at 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM.
