AUBURNDALE, Fla.- The Illinois College Blueboys suffered a loss to Anna Maria College in a competitive contest on Wednesday with a final of 9-2. This drops the team to 2-5 overall this season.
Anna Maria was able to build a commanding lead early in the game. The Blueboys trailed 0-5 in the top of the sixth. IC would get on the board on a double by
James Marcinkowski bringing in a run by
Kellen Blum.
Another double by
Peyton Abbott would bring in the run by Marcinkowski to make the score 2-5. IC was unable to even the score and would ultimately suffer the loss.
Jack McGuire suffered the loss at the mound pitching 3.2 innings.
The Blueboys will continue their spring trip facing Vassar College on Thursday, 3/10 at 2:00 PM ET.
