GRINNELL, Iowa- The Illinois College Lady Blues traveled to face Grinnell College on Wednesday night. The team came away with a win over the Pioneers with a final score of 81-67. This advances the team to 6-9 overall and 5-5 in the MWC.
Lilly Pepper had an exceptional night recording a double-double with 17 points and 14 rebounds.
Kendra Bass led the team in scoring with 18 points. Other double figure scorers included
Samantha Lordan (15) and
Junie Zirkelbach (12).
Both teams stood tied after a made jump shot by Lordan made the score 40-40 heading into halftime. The Lady Blues outscored Grinnell 17-8 in the third quarter to take a demanding lead 57-48. IC was able to maintain their lead to come away with the win.
IC will host their Senior Day against Lake Forest this Saturday, 2/12 at 5:30 PM.
