JACKSONVILLE, Ill.- The Illinois College Blueboys picked up a big conference win over Beloit College with a final score of 91-68 on Monday night. This advances the Blueboys to 10-8 overall and 6-4 in the MWC.
IC was led by an incredible performance by
Jake Mazrimas totaling 36 points and nine rebounds on the night. Other double figure scorers included
Hunter Ottensmeier (18) and
Tre Rogers (13).
The Blueboys dominated for a majority of the game. The team took the lead after a made three-pointer by Mazrimas with 13:01 left in the first half to go up by one. The Blueboys would not give up the lead for the remainder of the game to pick up a convincing win over the Buccaneers. IC was able to win the battle on the boards out-rebounding Beloit 37-28.
The Blueboys will continue conference play traveling to face Grinnell College on Wednesday, 2/9 at 5:30 PM.
