APPLETON, Wis.- The Illinois College Lady Blues traveled to take on the Lawrence University Vikings in Saturday MWC action. IC was able to come away with the win with a final score of 73-62. This advances the team to 9-10 overall and 8-6 in the MWC.
The team was led by
Ashlyn Wightman recording a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds.
Junie Zirkelbach (13),
Lilly Pepper (12),
Krista Bass (10), and
Anna McKee (10) were also able to reach double figures in scoring.
The Lady Blues were able to take the momentum in the third quarter outscoring the Vikings 31-10 to take a demanding lead. IC would hold onto the lead for the remainder of the contest to walk away with the win.
The team will host Grinnell College on Sunday, 2/20 at 4:00 PM.
