JACKSONVILLE, Ill.- The Illinois College Blueboys hosted Principia College in their second home game of the season. The team picked up a big win over the Panthers with a final of 80-54. This improves IC to 2-1 overall this season.
Tre Rogers had a stellar night leading the team with 20 points.
Josh Harris was also able to reach double figures with 15.
Jake Mazrimas and
Nestor Daboin were the team's leading rebounders with seven each.
The Blueboys got off to a strong start to take the lead over the Panthers. A made free throw by Daboin would make the score 41-20 with 3:31 left in the first half. IC stood ahead 43-30 as the game headed to halftime.
Illinois College continued to control the pace and would not give up the lead in the second half to secure the victory.
The team will host Blackburn College on Friday, 11/18 in the first game of the Bill Merris Tournament at 5:30 PM.
