JACKSONVILLE, Ill.- The Illinois College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee will be competing in the annual Midwest Conference Canned Food Challenge. The competition will run from Wednesday, 10/12 to Wednesday, 11/9. IC's student-athletes will be competing against other schools in the conference to collect canned goods at different athletic events.
The SAAC team will hold collection bins at different home sporting events on campus. A list of all athletic events during this time frame are listed below.
Canned Food Challenge Event Dates:
* Saturday, Oct. 15- Football vs. Lawrence University at 1:00 PM
* Sunday, Oct. 16- Men's and Women's Soccer vs. Beloit at 11:00 AM and 1:30 PM
* Tuesday, Oct. 18- Women's Volleyball vs. Fontbonne University at 7:00 PM
* Sunday, Oct. 23- Women's Soccer vs. Waldorf at 12:00 PM
* Thursday, Oct. 27- Women's Volleyball vs. Blackburn College at 7:00 PM
* Friday, Oct. 28- Football vs. Cornell College at 7:00 PM
* Saturday, Oct. 29- Women's Volleyball Tri-match at 11:00 AM and Men's and Women's Soccer at 11:00 AM and 1:30 PM
If you are looking to make a donation but do not have the canned goods available, cash is also accepted and each dollar collected counts as two items for the IC SAAC total.
