LINCOLN, Ill.- The IC men's soccer team traveled to face Lincoln Christian University on Wednesday. The team came away with a victory over the Lions with a final score of 3-1 to advance to 7-3 overall on the season.
Oswald Hountondji was able to strike first for the Blueboys after an assist by
Toby Ybarra in the third minute. IC would stand ahead 1-0 as the match headed to halftime.Â
The Blueboys were able to bring some intensity in the second half with a goal by
TK Ayers after an assist by
Bryce Etling in the 48th minute. IC would add another goal by
Dillon Arens in the 67th minute to seal the victory and defeat the Lions.Â
Miles Atkins represented the Blueboys in goal totaling six saves in the match.Â
IC will continue MWC play hosting Lawrence University on Saturday, 10/2 at 1:30 PM.Â
