APPLETON, Wis.- The Illinois College Lady Blues tennis team traveled to take on two MWC competitors over the weekend. The team fell to Lawrence University with a final of 2-7 and suffered a loss to Ripon College with a final of 3-6. This drops the team to 1-6 overall and 0-3 in the MWC.
Sophia Roth and
Michelle Maag were exceptional in the first match against Lawrence University. Roth picked up a win in #1 singles and Maag won in #2 singles both with a score of 6-3, 6-3.
In the match against Ripon College, the #1 doubles team of Roth and Maag were able to earn a victory 8-4. The #2 doubles team of
Hannah Lueke and
Mikhayla Haloftis were also able to walk away with a win 8-7.Â
IC will continue conference play hosting Monmouth College on Saturday, 10/2 at 1:00 PM.Â
